A commissioned portrait of Kokusha, a blind African Grey parrot who was deeply loved by his owner. He is shown in a quiet moment, gently preening his feathers. His distinctive slightly ruffled plumage, relaxed pose, and vivid red tail make the portrait lively and immediately recognizable. The painting was created as a personal memory of a bird who had been a much-loved member of the family for many years.
