This painting explores the theme of lucid dreaming — a state in which a person knows they are asleep, while everything happening around them feels remarkably clear and real, sometimes even more vivid than ordinary reality.

A male figure with closed eyes seems to exist somewhere between sleep and wakefulness. Above him appears an almost transparent female presence, as if belonging to another layer of reality. The two figures are connected by flowing lines that move through hair, light, shadow, and the surrounding space.

The cool blue-grey palette and contrasting pale lines strengthen the feeling of a nocturnal, slightly unreal environment. At the same time, the scene remains calm and physically tangible — like a dream that, while it lasts, feels completely real.
