A girl with enormous pale wings unexpectedly emerges from the water. Only her eyes and part of her face remain above the surface, while a large pink flower floats beside her. She looks directly at the viewer — calm, attentive, and slightly challenging, as if she really were asking, “Didn't expect me?”

In this painting, the image of an angel is free from its usual solemnity. She feels alive, curious, and a little playful. The soft blue sky, cool tones of the water, and warm golden reflections create a sense of light and air, while the vivid flower becomes an unexpected accent of color.

The painting is created in acrylic and oil on canvas. Layered painting and careful work with reflections help convey the movement of the water, the transparency of light, and the volume of the wings.
