This still life captures a branch of cannabis indica placed in a transparent glass jar, rendered with the meticulous layering and glazing of Old Master techniques. The 30×40 cm canvas combines oil and tempera to create luminous depth, subtle shadows, and a quiet atmosphere of contemplation. The delicate play of light on glass and foliage brings out both fragility and strength, evoking the tradition of Dutch still life while carrying a contemporary subject. The painting invites the viewer to pause, reflect, and discover symbolic undertones in the everyday.
