This painting is a free interpretation of the classic "Flowers in a Glass Vase" by Dutch Baroque artist Hendrik de Fromantiou. Richly detailed and vibrant, it captures the delicate textures of tulips, roses, hydrangeas, and a single soft moth resting beside the glass.
Executed using the Old Masters' technique with tempera and oil on panel, this piece showcases translucent layering, subtle glazing, and luminous highlights. The dark background creates an elegant contrast, enhancing the vivid colors and fine details of each bloom.
This still life celebrates both natural beauty and technical mastery, paying tribute to a timeless tradition of floral painting.
